Joining
Requirements for membership are listed in the Requirements thread. New members will normally be placed on trial for a week and then voted in (or out) after discussing it amongst the guild. This may be via the forums or in game in guild chat or private messages.
Respect Others
Insulting others or making racist remarks or any other remarks contrary to good order and discipline will not be tolerated.
Experience Donation
There is no requirement to donate XP to guild.
We are happy to take any XP you want to donate and will in fact limit the % you can donate since improving your character improves the guild.
Everyone within guild has right to modify their own xp donation.
NOTE: Choosing not to donate experience can adversely affect promotions and perceptor/collector rights!
Inactivity
If your character is inactive for a period greater than 1 month, you will be given the rank of deserter.
If your character is on-trial and you are inactive for a period greater then 14 days with out a notification of your absence you will be removed from the guild. When you come back if you wish to try Ni out once again please feel free to contact an officer when you return.
If the guild requires room for new members, those with the longest unexplained inactivity will be kicked from guild.
If you find yourself kicked from guild due to inactivity, but are returning to Dofus, please pm one of us and we will be extremely happy to reinvite you to the guild.
Perceptors/Collectors
Perceptors/Collectors and the drops they collect belong to the guild. They do not belong to the person that places them.
Take what you need and share the rest. If nobody needs it, contact an officer so that the resources may be put into the guild chests for later use or for our guild crafters.
Unless you are an officer placing a perceptor to collect mats for the guild, do not place more than one perceptor at a time.
DO give thought to where you place a perceptor.
DO ask if anyone needs any of the items you just collected.
DO feel free to ask for something if you need it.
DO NOT use mats to scroll your alts.
DO NOT feel guilty about using something you actually have a need for.
DO NOT collect resources and sell them for personal gain.
Promotion
As a person spends more time in Ni and becomes more trusted we like to move them up ranks, which means more rights and is a demonstration of trust.
Promotions after that time will be based upon experience donated, guild participation and how well you play with others. Promotions to Reservist and above will normally be voted upon by the guild officers.
Do not expect to be promoted to an officer position in a week! Not everyone can be an officer.
Do not donate massive amounts of experience and expect to be promoted because of it. Experience is only part of the equation. Likewise, do not expect to advance too far if you do not donate.
Do not bug the crap out of guild officers to be promoted. If you feel you have been overlooked, it is OK to ask...once.
Rank/Rights
These are the main ranks we use in the guild and how they are generally used. We may use other ranks from time to time as needed or desired. They are always being reviewed and rights may change. Various fun ranks are bestowed on retired members and returning veterans.
Leader: The highest rank in the guild. There can only be one...
Second in Command: The highest rank obtainable by a guild member who is not the leader. Brakmarian. Up to 3-5% of the guild. A Second in Command has all of the rights.
Treasurer: Ms-Moneypenny
Protector: An officer of the guild. Brakmarian. Up to 10% of the guild. All rights except for Manage boosts, rights, ranks and ban. Access to Officers Mess board.
Craftsman: This rank usually is given to someone with a high level profession and may also receive priority on materials collected from Collectors.
Reservist: Trusted and loved(?) member of the guild. Most rights including perc rights and right to invite new members.
Collector Killer: A member of the Ni Militia. These members keep track of who attacks Ni and organize counter strikes. Rights vary.
Guard: A full member of the guild. Rights to place and collect percs and share in guild resources.
Scout: Member of the guild. Rights to place and to collect from the perc they have placed.
Initiate: Member of the guild. Few rights. On your way to becoming a Scout!
Apprentice : Rank reserved for guild members alts. Subject to being kicked to make room for new members.
On Trial: The lowest rank. This is given to new members. They usually have very few or no rights.
Deserter: See Inactivity above.
Penitent: Rank reserved for members who are on warning. Rights are removed and the member will only be restored to their prior ranking if there actions or behavior are corrected.
The following table lists general guidelines for guild rights. Under certain situations, rights may be withheld or additional ranks granted that do not fit within this table.
*invite rights have been extended to guards. If an increase of unacceptable (i.e. bontas) invites occurs rights will be restricted again.
Leeching
Ni is not a guild to come to to get free levels. Ni has been based on camaraderie and willingness to help and we don't want people taking advantage of our kindness.
DO NOT asked to be leeched.
Do asked if there is anything you can join, once or twice.
DO NOT beg for gear.
Do state what you need in the forum, if we can spare it we will help.
This game has become a leeching society, and Ni is no such contributer. Becoming a GOOD well rounded character involves a lot of hard work, not learning how to play when you hit 100+.
If you feel like you are being excluded please comment! This is a family and you damn well be included in something. If not in all activities then at least in /g chat.
Guild Alliances and Friends
Alliances
Alliances are high level guilds that we have had a long standing relationship with. We can call upon these aligned guilds for help with runs or crafts. Participation in multi-guild events is encouraged. We do not kill their percs. Aggressing members from these guilds is frowned upon, with the exception of prisms and quests.
Friends
Friends consist of guilds that have asked to be allies with Ni but they do not fit alignment requirements. We do not hit our Friends percs.
Requirements for membership are listed in the Requirements thread. New members will normally be placed on trial for a week and then voted in (or out) after discussing it amongst the guild. This may be via the forums or in game in guild chat or private messages.
