Transparent meaning, the background isn't white. It's clear - being that you will see whatever it is you put the picture on (in this case, grey).

Odd, on mine it came up with a white background. Could be the skin I'm using.

Hmm well when i saw it it had the green background the skin i am using has....the default one i believe...
