Yaarp, it's completely open now, until December 2nd release date. It takes a while to download, so be prepared and do it overnight or whatever. Good news: - The scenery graphics look amazing. - The memory leaks seem to be fixed. My RAM usage only changed +/-1% for an hour of playing. Bad news: - You know how I said scenery is cool? Yeah, that's about the limit of it. Of course this is personal opinion, but.... in spite of other words which would be more descriptive... the graphics are fucked. Character sprites look like they have a rake shoved up their ass and are going into cardiac arrest. Sprites of monsters are so ridiculously Wakfu-esque, that it makes me wonder why they wasted time with 2.0. - I'm stuck in Royal Gob dung. After defeating boss, I get kicked from server, hooray.. When I relog, I have to fight boss again. I've done this three times. - An expansion onto the above - it's full of bugs. I feel like I'm in the Amazon. - Text/pictures/boxes/everything is ultra-small font/size. Wtf. I'm on 16inch hi-def laptop screen, so GL to you Mac users with 13 inch or netbook with <10inch. Yeah, I included my specs, because the font is actually smaller than pixels. If it wasn't for AA, some of the stuff is unreadable. Summary: Yeah.. If you think you will have any sort of tendency to be disappointed with 2.0, don't download it. It'll be bad for your health. I almost rageQuit. That is, if I could haul my ass out of Gob Dung first..

Breaking news: In addition to everything being small.. I worked out why it seems so extreme.
The dumb fucks changed the aspect ratio of the game. Height increased by 1cm, however width decreased by 2cm.
I cannot express in words how severe my facepalm is right now.

Ok, so heres my thoughts on dofus 2.0: Its a crap, a total mess, it cant be released, needs at least another 3 months of testing. Why? Well, the chat for example, jumps back to the begining everitime someone says something, and you need to relog a random number of times in order to fix this until it randomly starts again.Thats right, dofus 2.0 is all about randomness, when finishing fights you randomly get the drop and exp screen from a previous fight. Your character also randomly stop and need to relog, ah yes, dofus 2.0 is all about relloging too, relloging if you want to make a new group,if you want to change items on your char, forget about it, you will dissapear and will have to relog...again. Oh yeah, and sometimes when you relog, your screen gets black and wont load, then you have to switch characters a few times until it hopefully gets fixed. The graphics? brakmar for example looks nice, but i dunno, everithing is so odd, it always reminds me of RPG maker lol. Some spell animations are nicely reworked, and your turkeys look odd, more like dinossaurs. Also your weapon animation doesnt show up when you attack while mounted, instead the target just gets damaged, it kinda looks like you hit him using the force, from star wars, if you know what i mean. Oh, and you can add offline people to your friends, thats nice, and the arena is now way bigger, much more maps. But none of that makes up for the insane amount of bugs :/

Lol yah, while mounted or Mummified (Xelor spell, I'm assuming Wrath of Zato on Pandas does same thing) you just "I hit you" on enemies. :\ +Karma for you Bruce.

Me too, I don't want to play 2.0. If I never started playing 1.0, but saw 2.0, I definitely would not have started it.
But too late now. Way too much time and money was put into this game.

Yes there are lots of bugs, little annoying pull your hair out bugs. But here is my general thoughts.
The interface and customisable shortcuts are nice, they even fixed small text size by allowing you to make it bigger. Chats are very very buggy, good idea, but well it isn't refined enough yet. You need to set up your chat channels every time you log, which is very annoying and time consuming. Some of the shortcuts that you customised will remain, but some you have to reset every time. Of them one is the shortcuts for inventory, map, spells etc. The bad thing about this is that the map, although beautiful is very very detailed and causes huge lag when loading. Since typing doesn't go automatically to chat you end up popping up windows at very bad times. I think they are going in right direction with them, but need to iron out some annoying problems and all the many bugs.
I find in general that the game play is good, I like most of the spell animations. Love the new colours too. They have ditched some if not all of the transformation rooms in tree, which makes me very happy. Brak looks better now dark and broody, instead of dirty and broken.
Having played a bit of 2.0 over the past little bit I've seen some of the progression. The only thing that is giving me hope is that a large number of bugs are being fixed daily. I reported a soul stone bug, that led to more bugs etc. Got a response asking a question about how the bug occurred, was fixed the next day. The bad thing is that there are so many more I don't see how they will have time to get through them all.
So I think it will be good in the end and I'll enjoy the new version a lot, but I have to agree with Bruce, it needs 3 months, or even 3 weeks, not 3 days to be ready for release.

Would be great if the "report a bug" feature worked for us non-key people. But whenever I try, it only states that I must have a key to report a bug. What sense does That make?

Youre having better luck than me then, cause my report a bug comes in french Like gormal said, the tree dungeon has no boring rooms now, in fact, the dungeon has just turned from a boring dungeon to a very usefull one, theres dark trees in almost every room, and the final room has a lot of dark trees. Well, the graphic changes turned out to be amazing indeed, for most stuff, but well id just rather have a game and not a bug festival.

Oh yes, the bug report IS in french. Change the URL part from "fr" to "en" and it becomes english though. Still doesn't change the fact that it won't let me submit it...

Lol, the whole Tree Dung thing might be good, but it was unannounced. Thinking about it, we can safely say that Ankama hasn't got the time to implement Treechnid transformation, just like they haven't got time for Kwismas Island.
