I don't care if it's been mentioned!
Read the "His Dark Materials" books!
It's what the golden compass movie is based on, even though they ravaged the books via that movie. The books really blew me away, it was one of those stories where I could really imagine everything that was going on in it.

Yeah I saw that one. There are also a few youtube videos showing the comic being drawn through the different steps. It is in fast forward so looks really cool.

Lol, Sieg that song is the same melody as the Little Mermaid Song "Part of your World". That was pretty funny.

So as a few of you already know, I got sucked into the Twilight books...per se. I was resistant to read them because honestly the movie trailers based on the book deterred me and the South Park episode made it out to look funny as hell. Also they are in the teen section. But I was stuck in the Dallas/Ft/Worth Airport on Monday w/ a 4 hour layover and I had already read an entire book. So I needed something to read for my layover and my flight home I grabbed Twilight because it looked like the most interesting one out of the limited selection. I have to say I am so happy I did. Since I picked up the first book on Monday I have read all four of the books that are in the sage by Friday evening. I loved them. I honestly could not put them down and I am having withdraws already! www.stepheniemeyer.com/twilightseries.html

Well, if you still want to have that feeling about the books Snuggs. I DO NOT recommend the movie! D: The main actors are painful to watch to say the least... :/

I would really recommend it. Its the same genre as my sisters keper but more accessable to males who would usually turn their noses up and i think a far more powerful story. I'm a BIG reader and i think it is possibly my favourite book.

About twilight, I think it was good, but personally, vampires and romance don't mix . My cousin has all the books of it if I remember right and I can't blame that it's addictive because it's trying to make a more teen friendly approach when it comes to that. I -would- watch the second movie, it looks more promising. For a book... I'm the kind of guy that needs a really good book or some sort of motivation to go ahead and read it. So school was really encouraging to read a few books, I found myself with a few Hemmingway books like "For whom the bell tolls"(personal favorite of his, I love war stories.) and "The old man and the Sea". So the one I would suggest would be... "Metamorphosis" by Franz Kafka, It's about a man who woke up one day transformed as an insect after a long nightmare, and develops a story that tells how the world changes around you when you're different , along with some ironic comments.

Im currently reading one of my favourite books (so far, I havent finished it yet...it's REALLY long ). It's Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. Omg, he is an amazing author. It is almost like watching a movie he is so descriptive! To Snuggs: Since you like the Twilight saga so much I would assume you like Stephanie Meyer's writing style. If you like sci-fi-ish type books you should read, The Host (also by Stephanie Meyer). It has nothing to do with vampires, but it's by far on the top of my fave book list. It was an excellent read! (it's about alien spirits taking over the people of Earth...but so much more as well.)
