What do you know about dropping it?
Things like PP lock, amount of runs needed to do it, etc.
I keep seeing "we got/did 30 souls" on IV in old topics.. unsure on why 30 is important.
What about Cthulu? How many runs/souls did he do, and what sort of team?

The number 30 probably comes from the PP candies :> If I am not wrong, they last for 30 fights.
Other than that though,I've never been in a group that dropped one,so can't really say how easy/hard it is to get one :/

Chewie got his from a dungeon run I *think* so he didn't no life area souls or anything....might want 2 ask him though. And I know its all about luck really some people get it 1, 5 , 10 30 trys in. I've seen people no lifing souls for several days and get it if they're lucky.

The drop rate and pp lock are from wiki, which is based on a website that ankama had allowed access too which listed some of the rare drops. It was a spreadsheet and was not meant to be released, it had been linked to an IV topic but I can't find.
The 30 fights is as ebs said based on pp candy. It is a common theme to farm 30 souls and get a team of 8 on pp candy to open them all. As far as how many fights, well you could do the math on it, but basically it is such a low rate that it is just luck. I know someone who dropped one on their first run and others who claim hundreds of runs without one.
Same goes for crimson, although tot is much more work to farm.
Edit: SO actually has a higher turq drop rate than DP, just a bit more annoying to farm souls.

I heard the same about Wiki, but I wonder why Wiki has quoted the same % from both bosses.

Hmm, I guess I'll have to accidentally punch him in the face via interwebz and steal it eh?

Accidentally? o.O
He intentionally gathered souls, then asked for help with them in arena including drops dibbs - most especially dofus dibbs. Rinse and repeat.
If I recall correctly, that day he had two souls to do - and accidentally dc'd after hitting the second but before the fight began (huzzah for a working dc/rc system). I can't remember if we did both challenges successfully or just one of'em that fight.
PS - the 30 thing was because of pp candy, but I don't think those count for arena fights anymore...? Or was that something else?

Drop multipliers (like the recent x2 one) do not affect the arena.
