[Official] Event~ Guildy Pleasures!

Okay so there is an official event, which I'd like to see a fellow Ni member win. The guild has had many funny moments and many difficult circumstances.


ANKAMA CONVENTION #5, it takes place on April 17th and 18th in Paris, but it is an event for all DOFUS communities!

We therefore decided to organise a competition to make it possible for you, our dear players, to win some passes to ANKAMA CONVENTION #5! And even if you can't make it to Paris for the convention, you can still receive an action-packed goodie bag stuffed with exclusive convention swag!

Here's how you can participate:


Write a story about a DOFUS guild. It doesn't matter if it's about your real in-game guild, or about a DOFUS guild you've just invented in your imagination. For example, you could tell the story of how your DOFUS guild was formed, or describe your guild's most epic confrontation. Let your creativity be your guide, and don't be afraid to write the story from the point of view of your character!

This story should not be more than 500 words, and must be submitted on the special thread created on the official forums (See end of post) between March 4th, 2010 and 9 AM GMT+1 March 15th, 2010. You can also find a link to the official contest rules on the forums.

The stories that our jury finds the most original, well-written, and humorous will win a Premium Pass to ANKAMA CONVENTION #5, or the special goodie bag associated with the pass!

Okay, so I missed the deadline XD. Damn you GMT time +1! Anyways, I figured id post what I wrote up here so it might not go to total waste. I doubt it will ring with most of you, as I think only rosh and myself remember what I talk about in the beginning...

Imagine yourself exploring the fine city of Astrub for the first time. The Rosal server has only recently started, and you yourself have just started playing Dofus. You and some friends enter the bank map only to find a very peculiar resource preceptor. Emblazoned above his head are the words “Knights Who Say Ni”. Up for a challenge and possible glory, your little group decides the best course of action would be to charge the preceptor. If only you knew where that fight would take you!

This is the position I found myself in a few years back. Me and my little red Xelor had some great times, but one that has always stuck in my head is attacking the Knights Who Say Ni collector, and not without good reason. The battle was truly epic… well as epic as they get at the beginning of a new server.

My Xelor lined up with his buddies against the brave Knights for a showdown. I can safely say that no one was disappointed with the fight. My own side started out-numbered, but we could still give as good as we got. Nevertheless the Eniripsa on their side, by the name of Vile, clad in a freshly tailored Guavhat was doling out 20 hit point heals (which seemed quite high at the time) as if they were fairy works! Irony, the Knight’s Sacrier, was also a sight to see. He wore his Toady hat as if it were a king’s crown. All throughout the fight, they chanted out that timeless phrase: “Ni!”

My team lost that fight. However, I was ultimately a winner in it as well. After a time two of my team would come to join the Knights: Roshambo, and myself. We have been with the guild for many years now. We’ve grown up there: slowly but surely reaching the level 100 milestone, creating our first decent sets, running dungeons, and a myriad number of other things. Ni has been with us every step of the way. They adopted us into their little family, and what a family it is! They are a cocktail of wit, cheer, helpfulness, and humor mixed together with a decent dose of oddity. The Knights were like that when we first joined and have continued to remain that way.

The guild has grown and expanded since then. Old members, such as Vile and Irony, have long since left us and moved on to the greatest game of all: Life. We continue to keep it the way it was in the first days of the server, however. Roshambo even at one point rose to be the leader of the Knights, if only for a short time. The Knights Who Say Ni are a family. Never too serious, and never too flippant, we will continue to be a reminder of just what Dofus is supposed to be about: friendship, and fun!

( I suppose I should mention that I missed the USA date, but not the UK date if someone would want to use it there!)

Wow, that was very nice to read! Is it all true? I'll have to think differently of people who attack percs and then say "can I join guild?"

Its very true. Of course, im pretty sure that the perc had been set up outside the bank specifically for some pvp
